Can I Get a Witness?!

Carol's Story

Through a doctor's appointment it was discovered that I had a cyst that needed to have a sample removed for lab testing. My physician sent me to a specialist. The specialist reviewed my xrays and took additional tests. He returned to the examination room and informed me that "he did not like what he saw" on the xrays/tests, therefore instead of retrieving a sample from the cyst, he was going to have to do a more extensive biopsy. He left the room to obtain the equipment needed for the biopsy. While I was waiting, I bowed my head to ask God to give me strength to get through this situation and biopsy. I no sooner lowered my head to ask for strength, when I heard God speak to me and say "Fear not, for I am with you".

Just then the doctor's assistant came in and sat down beside me. With the change of plans and knowing that the biopsy would be more extensive (and scarry), she asked me "Did someone come with you?". I replied that I had come to the hospital alone (drove myself) but that I was not alone..... God was with me. She smiled and took my hand.

The doctor entered and did the procedure. After what seemed like an eternity (but was actually around an hour), the doctor came in to report the the biopsy was begnign/there was no cancer. At that very moment, I bowed my head first to thank God for being with me during this situation and thanked God for the good news.

God is my rock, my strength, my friend, and my Savior. I had no doubt He would be with me, but it was great to actually hear him tell me so.

Praise Be To God!
